Wherever we are, we belong to a space that is static. On the other hand a person is moveable and is presented by a number. A person is a number and a space is a part of geography. Both of them can’t decline or deny this universal uniqueness. One is moving with a static number and another is lying in a static area. After everything at the end of the day both of them live together with their Identity. It seems like a DNA, something a person or a place can’t change or remove from their body.

Our names today carry some number. Without those numbers we are not identified. Be it your passport or national ID number or be it birth registration number. Biometric scan has become another part of our Identity rather than our signature or photo. In terms of our Identity personal cell phone numbers is also playing an important role in our daily life. So nationally or internationally wherever I am I am a number.

Lose or being lost is a natural process in the circle of life. Lose or miss or being lost happen in every second in many forms. Every absence or empty space or feeling of lose becomes poignant to us, when we go through some memory. Most of the times the feeling is hard to be compensated but we try.

There are two layers of a leaf. One part is obvious and the other part is empty. One layer is of line drawings only and another is photograph. Both of the layers have the empty space but not at the same way. One is supporting another just not to be blank. If one is negative then other is positive. The same is true in leaf’s presentation if count reverse. No one wants to lose. If I lose you from my line, want to keep you in my color, in memory.

Cheers, Nickeled Metal, 13 x 15 x 14 cm, 2016

Celebration of female success by males in male dominant world, society, and family is obvious but oblivious factor. Males want to offer them to keep female’s journey on and offer assistance for various reasons. But isn’t it true that males take decision about woman’s extent of success? They fix the track mark or measurement of the length a woman can run? Do they become seriously happy from opposite’s achievement? Or actually they do? Three men are holding a woman in “Cheers”. And I heard someone saying ‘this is not fair’.

It’s keep coming, growing and gradually grabbing. It’s very silent and quiet, but quite strong while we do feel its presents in our body. It grows very slow, but works pretty fast.

E = mc2

Everyday thousands of lines are evolving in us without any of our effort. Isn’t it interesting that while we are passing people or a vehicle on our way there’s some purported transmission of information from one person to another without using any of our known sensory channels or physical interaction? This is what is called telepathic communication is a collinear method to go forward, what could be easily related with a straight line. Every crossing among the people or vehicles makes an invisible line itself and that gets over in a moment as well.

I have selected a steel bridge to produce thousands of phosphorescent lines out of its structure. The crisscrossed lines are the symbol of the unnoticed message transformation among us. These glowing lines are the metaphor of invisible communications between crossings.

Whose Decision It Might Be, Installation, 2015

In terms of experience, after taking birthDhaka has been going through some changes. This change is very much obvious in every section, such as language, culture, food, map, architecture and lots of things. If we take a look on its history one of its architecture has the taste of different nations and religions. Every time one wanted to delete others memory and tried to close previous doors and windows. Present person doesn’t want to see the light, how previous one saw. Therefore in this area architecture has changed along with its households according to its owner’s wish.Current person is scared out of his past.

I put hundred of opened windows top of some closed windows to project all different times’ light at a time, what present person wants to erase.

Tell of A Window, photography, 2014

A window is a distinguished frame to observe a space. While its wings are closed it makes a complete obstacle to go beyond, on the other hand it makes an open sense while wings are unlocked. Through my window I don’t want to see the barb weir on the borderline, what has been laying since 1947. I desire everywhere would be possible to go through my window.

Reason Behind the Activity, Installation, Wooden Structure, LED Torch, Gear Drive, Electric Motor, Microphone Stand, Transparent Object, 2014

Reason Behind the Activity

The entire wooden structure and the object is the metaphor of Reason, what is always roaming around us and the reflection on the wall is playing the role of
its job. In my art product, the reflected light looks like a neurological movement, what seems to be a microscopic biological motion. To present my notion I wanted to get closer to its real look.

In the above I mentioned generally a virus or germ is not possible to see with the naked eye but its work. Reason and its Activity both are visible in my creation. This is because most of the time we run after the Activity rather than the Reason, and I would say that this is a wrong perspective to set out further for an actual result. We should find out the cause first before its reflection.

Awe & Dread, Etching on Acid Free Paper, 11 x 8 inch (each), 2014

Awe & Dread

Remakree is a place in Bandarban hill district, where Marma indigenous people have been living alongside other ethnic communities. They are the followers of Buddhism where they try to show their deep respect and devotion for Buddha. In their daily life Marma people use many objects; on the other hand symbolic representations of Buddhism depict the various stages and activities of life.

This series of etched prints is a research on Marma communities' daily life objects and symbols from Buddhism. I tried to draw a relation between them in terms of their utility and meaning. According to one of the sayings of Buddha, he says when somebody leaves the house and takes the taste of a forest then that person will get to experience Terror, Awe and Dread. Similarly, I experienced the same, while I was at Remakree.

Couple of Sip, Nickeled Metal, 6 X 4 X 2.5 inch, 2014

Since beginning of the world male and female has been living together. Both of them have done a lot of work along with each other to bring this preset word all the way from civilization to civilization.

Sometimes it seems like one soul and one body, but they are not. Most of the time female is ignored in our society and still now they are fighting to achieve their right. They should get the equal right along with male. Therefor both of the persons are the equal in my wine glass, where they are taking sip equally.

We All are the Dust of the Air, Engraved Acrylic Sheet, LED light & Wood, 27 X 27 X 8 in, 2013

In our daily life we use lots of symbols to explain something quickly. Male and Female symbol is out of them, what has been made just 250 years ago and come from Greek mythology. Male symbol came from Mars’ armor and female sign came from Venus’ hand mirror. Throughout this 250 years gradually other symbols have developed to explain different characters of human being and Transsexual is one of them. With Male and Female this sex has been existing since the birth of the world, who are always ignored and from the beginning they couldn’t receive their own symbol alongside Male and Female. They got their own symbol after a long time like their right, but who cares? Eventually they got the right but respect! If the question comes of equality then three ganders are flouting surround us, where We All are the Dust of the Air.
